Dress like a boss, feel like a boss and be a boss! The white blazer is staple item for this Spring and Summer Season – and don’t worry it isn’t going anywhere this Fall! A white blazer makes you look as put together as Meghan Markle – even if your wearing it with a pair of converse, a t-shirt and a ball cap.
I’ve put together a few looks that you’ll see me wearing this summer! I picked my blazer up at Zara at the end of May this year. I wanted one that was less fitted and oversized – I am all about that boyfriend look right now! I used to think that everything had to fit nicely and hugging all of my curves. I have learnt to really enjoy the oversized pieces I own and now that is all I seem to shop for!
You can dress her up…
These first two (2) looks are less casual because for those that are still getting to know me – I always dress to impress. I’d prefer to be overdressed than underdressed and it’s just something I love to do. Don’t get me wrong I like a good hoodie and a pair of Lululemon Aligns on a Saturday!
These next few looks can be worn to many different events – a concert, a dinner date with your man, a night in the city with some girlfriends, a work function or a work day depending on your job.
This first one – I love the sheer detail, the polkadots and the colour contrast with the white blazer. Any shirt with texture can be pulled off in this look.
This next look I went with one of our favourites…the animal print! If you’ve got a python or leopard print top that would work for this look – go for it girl…or you can go with a stripe or polk-a-dot print.
Or caszh works too!
A few casual day looks for running errands, going to a football game, attending a lunch date or hitting up the shopping centre. I’m digging this next look for a lunch date with a girlfriend. The great thing about this one is it can easily be transitioned into a night time look with a change of footwear.
These two looks are paired with one of my favourite pair of light-washed high-waisted denim from American Eagle ($79). If your looking for a new pair of jeans you need to go for the raw hem…these are the new skinny jeans. When it comes to denim it’s all about the hemline and that’s why the raw hem is trending.
The first look (left) I incorporated an accent of cheetah print in the skinny belt from Pseudio ($39). The skin toned t-shirt is called the Candy T-Shirt by one of my favourite brands Sunday Best. These can be purchased at Aritzia for $28 and they’ve got tons of colours and fun icons embroidered on the top left. To finish off the look I decided on some blush chunky kitten heels by Steve Madden that I got from Winners for $39.
The second look – I went with a neon green t-shirt from The Gap – they also have a ton of colours and prints including tye dye and stripes. All their t-shirts are 40% off and can be purchased for $15. The belt is from Aritzia ($49) and my shoes are a two-toned light grey and ivory New Balance sneaker ($89).
To finish off the White Blazer styling session – I’ve got a few outfits incorporated with some denim cut-off shorts. I’ve got a lot of junk in the trunk – so I like to buy my jean shorts from either The Gap – they have to be high-waisted and at least 4″ in length or Levi’s – they have to be the Wedgie Fit and I normally have to get the waist taken in by 2″ so they fit properly!
That’s a wrap on the white blazer! I hope I brought you some inspiration on how to dress this staple piece up or wear it casually! The White Blazer is extremely versatile and it really dresses a simple or casual look up one notch!
